Well, we are off to a good start!
The happy couple with their traveling luggage. The large red suitcase clothing needed for the cruise portion of the trip. This suitcase will come home with our daughter after we are in Amsterdam. For the rest of the trip we will be living out of the two carry on cases plus our backpacks.
We left Sequim on time this morning and arrived at the ferry terminal moments before they put down the barrier. The downside of being the last car on is that you also are the very last car off the ferry. We then proceeded to my son Mike's place where we picked up our daughter Kathy.
In the 11/2 hr drive from Edmonds to Mike's home in Everett it certainly made it clear to us that we made the correct decision in selling my house over here and settled in quiet little Sequim. The cause of the delay was that there was a truck that had flipped over on I-5, which was not to bad except there were millions of bees in the truck and they were making it very difficult to clean up the mess. As we slowly proceeded up the 2 mile backup we finally arrived to the scene of the wreck. All policemen were about 50 feet from the truck due to the 14 million bees still flying around the truck.
Tonight we are staying at the Courtyard by Marriott in Southcenter. We like staying at Marriott because they provide two weeks of free parking and a reasonable daily rate afterwards.
Tomorrow morning we fly to Ft. Lauderdale and board the ship the following day.
The main reason for today’s
submission is to check email address and
to see if I can properly import pictures.
I will find out about the addresses after I send this but unfortunately
I need to work on the importing of photo’s as I was not able to properly insert
them. I will work on it tomorrow.
Good Night All,
Shirl and Roger
